We went on a 6 mile bushwhack hike (no trails!) today to a little-known area in the Ozark National Forest called Dismal Hollow. It was anything but dismal! Really, it was an amazing place and the weather could not have been more perfect. The terrain was pretty rugged, with high bluffs, huge boulders, and more waterfalls than I could count. The way out was all uphill, so we were exhausted by the time we climbed back to our car! We were going to try to get our taxes done this afternoon when we got home, but decided that a nap was a better idea=) Here are some pictures from our adventure:
